SCD Lunchbox Ideas!!

We started the Specific Carbohydrate Diet in January 2013.  It is a gut healing diet.  While some dairy is allowable on SCD, we are still Casein Free.  In addition we have added in some Body Ecology type foods (Coconut keifer, and cultured veggies).  Lastly, my DD is starting K in a public school program with a few other children that are on the spectrum...one of the children has a "tree nut allergy" that I have decided to accommodate by making food items with sun-butter (from sunflower seeds instead of peanuts) and to use coconut flour in lieu of almond flour that she gets at home.  Please be aware of these as my list reflects these very personal choices!  If your child is able to use almond flour or peanut butter or have dairy, by all means add them in to your list choices!! :)
I hope to add pictures when I get going on this, this school year!!  Check back for updates!

prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, snap 
peas, grilled chicken bites, and 
pear bites coated in coconut 
keifer and cinnamon sprinkled 
on top. (She ate every morsel!!)











2nd day of lunch. Top: Lettuce wraps 
with Applegate Farms turkey meat, 
shredded carrots and onion. Top 
Right: 2 Hardboiled eggs. Bottom 
Right: Pear slices and blueberry 
skewers. Bottom left: Carrot 
sticks and sliced cucumber.
